Editing Chapters
You can edit your chapters after they have been published. However, there are important rules and restrictions depending on your novel's contract status and how long ago the chapter was published.
Step 1: Open the Edit Form
From the Chapter List page, find the chapter you want to edit and click the Edit button (pencil icon).
Step 2: What You Can Edit

Step 3: Editing Restrictions for Signed Works
If your novel is under a signed contract, there are additional restrictions on editing:

| Chapter published more than 48 hours ago | ⚠️ Yes — your edits must be reviewed and approved by a book manager |
| Chapter is paid (regardless of time) | ⚠️ Yes — any edits to paid chapters require approval to protect readers who have already purchased |
Why these restrictions? Once a chapter has been available to readers for over 48 hours, or if readers have paid to unlock it, the content is considered "published" and any changes must be reviewed. This protects readers from unexpected content changes and ensures fairness in paid transactions.
Step 4: Daily Edit Limit
To maintain platform stability and translation quality, there is a daily edit limit of 5 edits per chapter. This counter resets each day at midnight UTC.
Translation Note: If your novel is under a signed contract, edited chapters will be re-translated. Only the changed portions will be translated (not the entire chapter), which saves time and API costs. Please allow a few minutes for the updated translations to process.
