Author Guidelines & Revenue Rules

English Version Prevails

This is the official English version of the Author Guidelines & Revenue Rules. Translated versions are provided for convenience only and shall have no legal effect. By checking the agreement on the platform dashboard, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms.

Welcome to World Chain Novel! Please read these Author Guidelines carefully before registering as a creator, creating a profile, or publishing your literary works on the Platform.

Electronic Confirmation Notice: Clicking "I have read and agree to the Author Guidelines & Revenue Rules" in your dashboard constitutes a binding digital signature with full legal effect.

Section 1 — Relationship and Creative Freedom

1.1 Independent Contractor Relationship. The relationship between the Platform and the Author is strictly that of independent contractors. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to create an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship.

1.2 No Labor Protections. The Author explicitly acknowledges they are not entitled to, nor shall they claim, any employee benefits, medical insurance, retirement contributions, or formal labor protections from the Platform.

1.3 External Creative Freedom. The Platform does not interfere with the Author's creative freedom to write, publish, or contract on other platforms, provided that the specific works uploaded here do not violate general copyright boundaries or platform-exclusive options.

Section 2 — Dual-Track Revenue Sharing Tier Table

2.1 Net Revenue Share Percentage Table. Creation tiers and subsequent payout metrics are derived entirely from Net Revenue (defined as gross revenue minus payment processing fees, system infrastructure costs, applicable regional tax deductions, and direct targeted promotional costs):

Author Level Title Subscription / Donation Share
Level 1Junior Author50%
Level 2Rising Star51%
Level 3Core Writer52%
Level 4Bestseller54%
Level 5Platform Star56%
Level 6Platinum Author59%
Level 7Master Author62%
Level 8Legendary Author66%
Level 9National Treasure70%
Level 10Mythical Author75%
Level 11God Author80%

2.2 Author Level Progression. Tiers can be advanced via cumulative "Author Points" earned through explicit platform metrics, including chapter purchases with coins, user donations, Monthly Ticket votes, consecutive daily updates, and achieving specific platform Heat benchmarks.

2.3 Basic Route Restriction (🔒 Free Ad Mode Only):

  • Works published under the Basic Agreement operate strictly on the free-to-read advertisement model. Revenue is accrued based on automated impression points rules.
  • Display Only Restriction: Accumulated ad balances under the Basic status are displayed for security reference metrics only and cannot be withdrawn. This barrier is deployed as a critical anti-fraud measure. Balances fully unlock for cross-border withdrawal once the work transitions to a Standard Licensing Agreement.

2.4 Standard Route Benefits (🔓 Fully Unlocked Tools). Standard contracted authors unlock access to the following full suite of optimization tools:

  • Ability to switch the work's business model from Free to Paid (locking premium chapters behind specified amounts of coins).
  • Direct user-to-author monetary donation/tipping pipelines.
  • Complementary full-suite enterprise AI Multi-language translation processing.
  • AI Promotional Short-Video generation pipelines.
  • Direct premium exposure channels via the integrated structural backend platform development framework.

Section 3 — Core Withdrawal Specifications

3.1 Minimum Cashout Limit. Individual withdrawal applications must meet a minimum threshold value of USD 50.00 (or equivalent fiat currency value). Balances falling short of this limit automatically roll over to the following statement cycle.

3.2 Processing Window. Payout applications must be initiated via the author dashboard prior to the 25th day of any calendar month. Validated payouts are processed and dispatched within the 1st through the 5th days of the subsequent month.

3.3 External Deduction Costs. Dispatched amounts are net of external operational friction costs, explicitly including international intermediary remittance fees, cross-border transactional processing costs, and applicable legal withholdings. Interface dashboard metrics represent gross revenue shares and do not display these outbound frictional processing costs.

3.4 Absolute Tax Liability. The Platform operates as an international offshore digital provider. It does not manage, calculate, or remit individual personal income tax. Authors are solely and entirely responsible for declaring, reporting, and paying income or commercial taxes to their native tax jurisdictions, country of citizenship, or current residential location.

Section 4 — Copyright and AI Licensing Boundaries

4.1 Non-Transfer of Intellectual Property (Basic). Under standard configurations, the core copyright remains **100% with the Author**. The platform holds a non-exclusive digital network transmission license. Deleting your work removes your distribution pipeline and terminates the interface presentation rights.

4.2 AI Translation Distribution Right. The author grants the platform a non-exclusive, global right to leverage machine learning algorithms to translate, adapt, display, and distribute translated renditions of the content across international storefronts.

4.3 AI Promotional Short-Video License. The author grants a royalty-free, non-exclusive license for the platform to parse text to create short-form algorithmic video materials. This usage is restricted to internal network distribution, discoverability frameworks, and general application ecosystem marketing; it cannot be packaged for third-party independent commercial sales.

4.4 Independent Rights Preservation. All secondary adaptation branches not explicitly described in these parameters (including theatrical feature films, traditional print publications, standalone audiobooks, comics, gaming formats, and physical merchandise options) are **fully and exclusively reserved by the Author**. Platform mobilization of these assets requires an independent, signed, supplementary contract.

Section 5 — Compliance and Creative Red Lines

5.1 Absolute Prohibited Materials (Zero-Tolerance). Content uploaded to platform servers must not contain any instances of the following. Violations trigger **immediate work removal, irrevocable account termination, and immediate forwarding to law enforcement agencies**:

  1. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), minor sexualization, or child exploitation formats of any kind.
  2. Explicit, unsimulated pornographic text or depictions of extreme obscene acts.
  3. Materials inciting terroristic acts, extremist ideologies, or violent criminal activities.
  4. Hate speech or systemic harassment targetting protected characteristics (including race, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or physical/mental disabilities).
  5. Defamatory statements, explicit privacy violations, or coordinated character attacks.
  6. Plagiarism and Intellectual Property Theft: Copying, mimicking, or republishing copyrighted content without explicit authorization from the legitimate property owner.
